Neuhoff Center
The Neuhoff Catholic Student Community Center, built in 1996, is the hub of the Catholic Campus Ministry at SMU. There you will find Catholic students praying, studying, discussing the scripture, and learning about their faith. The Center boasts a chapel for weekly, Wednesday Mass during the academic year; a first floor living room that hosts weekly Sunday Suppers; a theological education and resource center for meetings and study groups; and staff offices.
About us
During the college experience, students are exposed to diverse ways of thinking, working, relating to friends and family, and connecting with their faith life. This is a critical time when Catholic Campus Ministry accompanies Catholic students as they ponder the important questions about career path, vocation, family, and most importantly, how they will live their lives as Christians. Through the SMU Catholic Campus Ministry programs, students are offered opportunities to nurture their faith through theological education classes, student leadership, Bible study, social outreach, retreats, sacramental preparation, and liturgical celebrations. Twenty five percent of the student body at Southern Methodist University indicate Catholic as their religious preference. The Catholic Campus Ministry strives to reach all of them to let them know that they are part of the Catholic community at SMU. The ministry will walk with them on their faith journey and send them out to the world as well formed Catholics to be leaders in the community.
